The Wronged is the second in a series of inexpensive advanced classes for d20 Modern.

First off, I want to say that Louis Porter kindly allowed me to get an early look at this second product after reading my less than positive review of the first advanced class in the series, the Professional Killer. I am happy to report that The Wronged does not include the errors in editing I saw in the first. After my correspondence with Louis, I am pleased to say LPJ Design listens to their customers and is committed to making quality products. Louis has also assured me a corrected version of the Professional Killer will be available soon. As I said in that first review, it's a 4 out of 5 stars product without the editing flaw.

Like the Professional Killer, the Wronged is another gritty, Not-So-Nice-Guy/I'm No Angel advanced class for d20 Modern Games. No other publisher is really doing classes like this, so you don't have to worry about having something similar that already does what these classes do in another product you might own. I like that the idea for these classes start out from the point of view of roleplaying first - the background and Profile of Someone Wronged sections show you by example how to roleplay the class.

While the Professional Killer might not be appropriate for PCs in some campaigns (but still a good offering for NPC adversaries), The Wronged has more potential as a PC class across campaigns, and offers some good opportunities for roleplaying. The story of The Wronged is a tragic one. He may have had a less than stellar past, but later made an attempt to have a normal, productive life in society. And then one day somebody takes that all away. Now he lives to seek vengence on those who stole his new life away. His class features give him the advantages he needs to do that.

If you are looking for something a little more grim and dark to play in your d20 Modern campaign, The Wronged is worth a look at an affordable price.
