D20 Shakespeare: Macbeth is a short d20 supplement from LPJ Design. The PDF is just over half a megabyte in size, and is thirteen pages long, with one page set aside for the OGL. No bookmarks are given, nor needed.

There's very little artwork in this product. The first page is set on a tan background, and has a grayed picture of a kingly figure, likely Macbeth himself. Tan borders follow on the top and bottom of each subsequent page. Also, as this product is watermarked, your name appears in a very small font at the bottom left corner of every page.

The product opens with the historical background for when this product was written, and how that supposedly influenced how Shakespeare wrote the play. After a short cast summary, it then spends several pages recapping the play. After this, it gives stats for the cast. Several of the most prominent characters, such as Macbeth, Macduff, and Banquo has multiple stat blocks given for them at low, middle, and high levels. It then closes out with three scenarios for PCs adventuring during the events of the play. The first has the PCs following the play exactly, the second has a twist wherein Macbeth is a good king and Banquo is a secret traitor, and the last sets the play to being a backdrop for a war among kings as the PCs adventure.

Ultimately, while using Shakespeare for d20 gaming seems like a good idea, this product doesn't do a good job of it. While it's obvious why the recap for the play is given, it seems wasted, as there's plenty of places (online, in books, in movies, etc.) to get the play more thoroughly. A better way would have been to list the cast's stat blocks and then cover their roles in the play. Likewise, the stat blocks here are riddled with errors, from incorrect CRs to inappropriate hit points to simple typographical errors. This is a product that needed to go back through editing at least once more, as no man of woman born would find this very useful as is. <br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: The second adventure idea, with Macbeth being a good man undone by a treacherous Banquo, was very compelling.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The recap of the play itself seemed to take up too much space, and the character stat blocks were riddled with errors.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Disappointing<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Disappointed<br>
