I've done a couple of adventures about this play. I mostly bought it for the tortle race though. It was my second character ever as a player. Been DMing since I was 11 and this play reminded me of a character which some should know (Benjamin the Turtle).

It's smooth, not that hard to make happens within the expected hours and it contains a lot of cool exploration around islands.

In itself, it makes for a good run and discovering the fauna and flora of Chult on the side is actually not a bad idea.

Good document, highly recommend since it's a charity donation.

Doyle is known for working on Tomb of Annihilation. This is just an excellent complement to the initial storyline. I'm actually doing the ToA hardcover after running 72 hours of Mezro in all tiers. My players loved it, and the rewards were quite nice. Exploiting another city to make other stories happens within the same jungle while not giving emphasis to the actual tomb but rather some other storylines presented in the hardcover was well done. I've loved the multiple details and I've even given the Heretic background (through a custom background baseline) and been enjoying the character ever since. I even got to put a sphere of annihilation with the high priestess in an actual other plane and they all shifter into a demi-place at large. It was a blast doing the whole thing in multiple tiers with multiple on the fly tables.

Well done 5/5

The first part of that trilogy is as good as the first one. I'm someone who goes off the real script since I love to improvise (while respecting what's being given though, I'm just taking a different path). Getting the ring in the town was actually half of the play, it made for so much fun RPing numerous people being bothered by that hell of a fight with some cultists involved as well. The mighty paladin actually dropped to two death saves in a back alley and nearby passed away if they didn't had a Cape of the Mountebank to teleport themselves within reach to help him.

It was a blast 5/5

The whole deal with Tyr was actually a decision I made for a player that wanted this played. It was quite nice, I can't say I don't love the setting in which it takes place.

The initial workaround the multiples leaders in the city is a good read, but I loved the details about the lore that were exploited to write this good CCC. The play can be quite deadly, but it takes place in a rigid sort of plane which makes it actually quite difficult on the player's part (won't spoil much more, i loved it).

5/5 It's dense, but it's worth.

Not bad. The challenge is certainly there. I had a table of 7 players and had the luxury of using the double encounter with highest second threath possible. That was some fight I'll tell you. I love how they implemented just a plain temple right in the middle of there. Pretty cool !
