An okay adventure for new dms but needs experience dms to adjust it correctly.
This module has gotten Killer DM TPK vibes lately and I sat in on it as a very weak group. TPK. The new DM was running as is and was handling some of our wrenches in the plot well. But. The encounters are hard plus. Some notes needed to added to allow for short and long rests. Which my group forgot since it is a 2 hour module. And the the combat encounters need to be totally reworked. Drop at least one cultists from each encounter. Change the Sea Spawn and Deep Scion hit pionts.

Unfortunately, while this product has a couple of good ideas, it is a lacking product. I do applaud the effort of the author but there are shortcomings in this product that are hard to overlook (you can see more in the discussion section). I suggest to people to take the advice of the author and look for the free sample and judge whether this product is good for their table or not. If you find that this product could work for you, then by all means go for it as the author put effort in this.
The good part: There is advice in the end of the product about scaling difficulty and use of monsters of various roles. This advice is useful.

Impaginata e scritta in modo impeccabile. Consigliata. ― Azarneth

I ran this adventure on Fantasy Grounds for a couple of days, and the players and I were pleased with it. Excellent encounters and a simple nautical combat system were a hit with the players. Fully explaining "how to run" in Fantasy Grounds made this a breeze. I also appreciate the scaling of encounters, which made sense and did not diminish the challenge.
I think if you need a good filler adventure or a change of pace, this is the adventure to run. Cheers!

Morale is really an old rule, more than 30 years ago... The fact is that it was a functional DM support rule for those moments when the doubt remained: would these NPCs/creatures surrender. It's easy to decide when we think about an ordinary human, but difficult when it's an alien mind, such as an Aboleth. At these times, the moral rule is a good guide. The book is simple, direct and very cheap. Just the work of calculating the morale of MM's creatures and putting them in an easy-to-consult table at the end is worth the price. That said, excellent value for money. Ideal for DMs who want more realism in their game.

Thank you for this adventure! It was the first time my five years old played DnD, and he had a blast! We played as a family together, it was a great Sunday activity.

We had so much fun playing this! The concept is simple--which makes it easy to insert things into the game as a DM (like an over-the-top candle). If I were to go back, I would have realized my players were too powerful, so I should have beefed up the big bad or played with 1st or 2nd lvl PCs.

This is by far one of my favorite introductory adventures for PC's who are new to a 5e format. Every playthrough is different, and the balance of exploration and combat is perfrect as a way to explore the proper way to play 5e. I've run it 3 times now for brand new players and had significantly different and enjoyable games.
This is a must have adventure for DMs introduing very new players.

The guide and maps took what was the worst adventure of the book and made it into something runnable. Not just a scenario hook but a real adventure.
Thank you, and great work!

Compelling mystery! Great puzzles and NPCs. Pretty solid value for the price. Was more pro than I thought it would be.
